Bucars RV Center owners Kyle and Jeff Redmond are excited to welcome Kevin Digness to the team as Sales Manager, effective October 15, 2013. Kevin brings a wealth of RV industry knowledge (over 35 years to be exact) having first started in the business working on his father’s RV lot in Saskatoon Saskatchewan “back in the day.”
“We’re thrilled that Kevin decided to join our team,” says Bucars Owner and General Sales Manager, Jeff Redmond. “Kevin’s focus has always been about an extremely knowledgeable Sales team and always making sure the customer is taken care of.”
Kevin was instrumental in building the Woody’s RV World brand, managing a team of 30 and having a part in opening new a new dealership in Edmonton. Most recently, Kevin spent four years with Vancouver Island RV dealer Arbutus RV.
What brought Kevin back? We asked him to share why he’s here in the Calgary area again and his beaming smile said it all! “I’m really excited to be back in Alberta. My Son, John and his wife live in Calgary,” said Kevin. “My wife, Judy and I are happy to be near them again and be with the family. I’m also very excited to be with Bucars – a great organization run by a great family team – the Redmonds.”
Kevin is an award-winning RV Sales professional, serves as Chair of Optimist International and is always contributing to building a great team. He sees his new role with Bucars as a team leader, making sure his staff is the most knowledgeable, making sure the customer is well taken care of.
“I want to make sure people love working here and love dealing with Bucars,” Kevin says. “The RV business is one of the best unknown industries to be in. I love dealing with people who have great core values and are family-oriented. These are the traits that build and promote good citizenship.”
“I love to RV!” says Kevin. “I have a pick-up and a trailer. My wife and I love to go anywhere friends and family are. Maybe one day I’ll have a motorhome; that’s really the best way to see the country or go on longer-stay vacations in Canada and the U.S.. We also owned a park model at one point, which was very enjoyable.”
On being a Calgary Flames or Vancouver Canucks fan, Kevin said: “Detroit! I love watching the Red Wings play; and more the Chicago Blackhawks. Hockey comes down to the character on the ice and I see that in these teams.”
