Hi there, my name is JC McLeod and I’m with Bucars RV.
Today we’re going to talk about wiring for 6-volt batteries together. This would be more for your extreme solar gurus and the people with the large motorhomes. Now, what we need to picture is two separate 12-volt batteries. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to connect positive to negative on one set of batteries and we’re going to connect positive to negative on our second set of batteries that gives us two 12-volt batteries. So those are in series. Now, we’re going to go parallel. What that means we’re going to go negative to negative between our two banks and positive to positive between our two banks. Then we take the positive from the trailer or motorhome to the one set and we’re going to take the negative to the other set. This creates one big 12-volt battery that is going to charge and drain at the same rate.
