With winter fully set in, there is no better time to take your RV out and enjoy a well-deserved vacation. Because, half the fun of having an RV is enjoying the journey as much as the destination.

Canyonlands National Park, Utah

Known for the magnificent Mesa Arch rock formation, Canyonlands is a raw, rugged landscape with majestic views. While the park is incredibly busy in winter, the tourists generally stay away in the winter making it the perfect place to find seclusion and peace among the escalating rocks. There are 5 distinct areas within the park, like Needles with spectacular natural attractions like the sandstone spires that protrude from the ground or the ancient petroglyphs on Newspaper Rock. The temperature high can range between 0-4 degrees Celcius, and visitors should be prepared for snow. Come prepared with food and supplies as the campground is not fully serviced in the winter.

Made famous as the home the majority of the world’s geysers, including the famous Old Faithful. In addition to the scenic viewing of the steaming geyser basins, the park offers wildlife viewing, snow shoeing, and cross-country ski trails as well as guided snowmobile tours.
