Hey everybody Bucars says you don’t want to winterize your RV. Well, you don’t want to winterize your RV yet.
So power, when you’re camping in the fall, becomes very crucial. Your furnace draws a lot of power, your lights are on a lot more because the sun goes down a lot sooner and what you’re going to find is especially if you’ve relied on solar panels.
In the past, you know what it isn’t like the Canadian summer where we get 10 to 11 hours of sunshine in the winter and in the fall we’re going to start pushing maybe that eight to nine hours of sunshine. So your solar is not going to recover that power as well. So a lot of our fall campers will actually take a generator or have very large battery banks to make sure they have enough power for the winter.
You do need to think about it a little bit more when you’re going back country because obviously, you have no plugins that current bush doesn’t actually produce current. So a lot of my fall campers instead of going into the generator instead of relying on solar they will start looking at powered sites a little bit more in the fall because running the electric heaters versus running a propane heater you don’t get as much moisture in the air it’s a much drier heat. You may as well use their power instead of burning your dollars through propane.
So just talk to us see what you want to do power wise it’s just something you need to think about a little bit more before you go fall camping.
