Unique 2022 Features
Now that we’ve gone through some of the most exciting 2022 RVs, it’s time to dive into some additional features that we see across a variety of our 2022 models.
Azdel Walls
On select K-Z, Inc. RVs, we are now seeing azdel walls! Azdel walls are panels made from a blend of polypropylene and fibreglass, making them lightweight yet extremely durable. One of the most critical aspects of these walls is that they are impenetrable by water, an added feature you didn’t know you wanted but now know you need!
Solid Flip-Up Steps
Many 2022 models feature solid flip-up steps rather than folding steps. There are many disadvantages of folding steps, and due to popular demand, the solid-flip-up steps are taking over the RV world. Here are some advantages to solid flip-up steps:
- They are stored in your RV, so there is no need to worry about rust or dirt
- The large top stair tread gives you room to remove your shoes before entering
- A threshold panel protects you, the RV, and anything from falling behind the steps
- They have no bounce due to sturdiness and more!
This new standard feature is sure to make a noticeable difference on your next camping trip.
Battery Disconnect Switch
Most of the new models now have a battery disconnect switch. This switch allows you to cut off the electrical power between the battery and TV to protect against theft and electrical fires. The battery disconnect switch is more energy-efficient and ensures no electricity is being used when it doesn’t need to be, which is especially convenient when your unit is being stored.
Spyder App Compatibility
Tiffin has included the Spyder Multiplex System with app compatibility to all their 2022 models–except for the RED340. Since you’re always carrying your phone or tablet with you, even more so at an RV park, it’s incredibly convenient to have the option to monitor and control critical systems from wherever you are without needing to get to a control panel. We know this feature will be in high demand this year and for many years to come.
Limited-Edition K-Z Package
One of our favourite new additions in 2022 is the K-Z 50th anniversary package. Here are some features of this limited-edition package:
- Fully enclosed and heated underbelly to protect tanks and pipes
- Solar roof prep for those who want to camp off-grid
- Advanced airflow system that increases airflow throughout the RV
- Exterior speakers with LED lighting
- Modern farmhouse interior with vinyl planks throughout and more!
This package is offered on various K-Z Sportsmen models, such as the K-Z Inc. Sportsmen SE. It’s uniquely exciting that K-Z is embracing their 50-year milestone and is allowing you to experience this anniversary with them.
Upgraded Interior Design
In 2022, many of the RVs underwent a facelift! New designs, colours and features on cabinets, flooding, wall panels, and trim allowed the RVs to get a great new modern upgrade to the interior.
Solar Package
Many new 2022 RVs are now featuring solar packages. These packages allow you to recharge your batteries when they’re not connected to a generator or docking station.
Solar charging packages require no gas; they are silent and can charge your batteries as long as the sun shines!
Self-Sufficient
Due to popular demand, we are delighted to say that many of our 2022 RVs now feature off-grid packages. As previously mentioned with the 2022 K-Z, Inc. Durango Half-Ton, these RVs can run solely on internal resources, if properly equipped.
