How to Connect Two 6 Volt Batteries

Hi there my name is JC McLeod and I’m with Bucars RV.

Today we’re going to talk about how to wire two six volt batteries together on your trailer to make one big 12-volt battery. Very, very simple process. You have one interconnect cable that goes from the positive of the one battery to the negative of the other battery. So what we’re doing is we’re increasing your voltage, not your amperage. Then we take the positive of the trailer to one battery, the negative from the trailer to the other battery and that’s all it takes.
