The Alberta Government online campground reservation system is now open to take bookings, which means big smiles for us RVers.
It’s super simple to book online. Just visit Reserve.AlbertaParks.Ca and navigate the interactive campground finder. The site will only allow bookings up to 90 days in advance, but there hundreds of possibilities available. The system is pretty cool. You can view campsite details, photos and get all the information needed before making a decision.
Once you find your campsite of choice, go ahead and add it to your cart. You’ll need to create an account in order to ‘hold’ the space until you check out, but not to worry as this only applies if you’re leaving the site before checking out.
On top of the campground reservation fee there is a $12 non-refundable transaction fee per reserved site. And according to the site, the maximum number of campsites you can book in one transaction is four, and maximum nights stay is 16.
We think this is a great little tool to ensure you get at least a few days of camping in. There’s nothing worse than planning a big weekend only to see campgrounds fully booked. So get planning and get booking!
