Urban RVing in Alberta

A city holiday doesn’t mean you have to book a hotel, check out these great RV campgrounds located within Alberta’s urban centres.  


Calgary West Campground
Located on the very western edge of Calgary’s city limits, the Calgary West Campground offers fully serviced sites, an outdoor pool, mini golf, nature trails, and so much more. There’s even a shuttle service connecting you to Calgary Transit, so you can get out and enjoy the city.

Calaway Park Campground
On the edge of the city and a short walk from Western Canada’s Largest Outdoor Family Amusement Park, enjoy the rides as well as all that Calgary has to offer from the comfort of Calaway Park Campground. The park offers RV sites with access to showers, laundry, and Wi-Fi.


Rainbow Valley Campground
The only camping facility located within Edmonton, Rainbow Valley Campground offers over 75 sites with many amenities and easy access to a walking trail network that follows Whitemud Creek all the way to the North Saskatchewan River. They have power sites, free showers, laundry, and access to public transportation.


Bridgeview RV Resort
Located on the westerly outskirts of Lethbridge, the Bridgeview RV Resort operates year-round near the banks of the Oldman River. It offers 213 full and partial hook-up RV sites, both treed and non-treed in three unique areas. A family friendly vacation spot, it is pet friendly and just 2 minutes to the city and all its amenities.


Gas City Campground
Located right off the Trans Canada Highway in the city of Medicine Hat, the Gas City Campground offers 97 beautifully treed sites with a variety of services.


Red Deer Lion Campground
Located in the heart of Red Deer, the Red Deer Lion’s Campground offers both the beauty of a park with the convenience of the city. You’ll enjoy playgrounds, open fields, and an entrance to the Trans-Canada Trail along the river.


Grande Prairie Rotary Campground
If you’re visiting Grande Prairie, the Grande Prairie Rotary Campground provides a convenient base camp to explore the area. The treed park is connected to the Muskoseepi Park System where you can enjoy walking trails and wildlife watching.
